Your responsibilities:
- Create and implement intelligent machine learning systems that excel in big data analysis and optimization problems.
- Analyze data sets spanning terabytes of real-time data.
- Develop solutions to performance problems found in distributed computing environments.
- Constantly track the academic research in machine learning and related areas
- Research and prototype techniques and algorithms to push our analytics to the leading edge
Your skills & profile:
- Expert knowledge and deep understanding of state of the art machine learning, statistics and natural language processing
- Experience in working with extremely large data sets.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and computational complexity theory.
- Knowledge of at least one numerical/statistical computing environment: Scilab, NumPy, Pandas, R, Matlab/Octave
- Ph.D. or Masters degree in mathematics or a computer science field or strong related experience
- Additional skills welcome: experience with Scala, Java (Hadoop, Mahout) or Python / Cython
